Teaching The PS 376 Community to Recycle
We are going to teach the PS 376 Community how to recycle, which means you need to know how to recycle in the classroom, and how to teach others about it.
- Review the "Mixed Paper & Cardboard" video and write down all of the Paper Recycling rules. Write this down in your notebook
- Brainstorm a list of paper we use in the classroom every day. Record the information.
- Brainstorm a list of regular trash we see in the classroom every day. Record the information.

Glass Metal & Plastic Reminders
Before you watch the Glass, Metal & Plastic videos, there are changes in the rules. Bottle caps can be recycled.
PLASTIC RULE: If you bend the plastic and it goes back to the same shape, you can recycle it. In other words, rigid or hard plastics can be recycled (yogurt containers, food containers, etc.). Soft plastic cannot be recycled in the BLUE bins (plastic bags).
